Have I finally found planner peace with my 2023 Agendio planner? I’m feeling hopeful about the possibility! I’m confident that I’ve tried just about every planner system, layout, design, and structure known to the planner community. Let’s take a walk through planner history.
I started my planner adventure with the tried and true bullet journal. From there, I visited a Kate Spade ring planner. Tossed into the mix over the years were Happy Planner, Erin Condren, Silk & Sonder, Papier, Day Designer, Passion Planner, and many (MANY!) more. Each one had something that hooked me in the beginning but eventually lost me because it just didn’t have everything I wanted.
In 2022, I started toying with the idea of creating my own planner. The daunting task led me to Frankenplanning. Since I loved the idea of adding clipping and photos to my planner, Happy Planner was the best choice. I purchased six different planners and meshed them into one Frankenplanner that I just knew was going to be IT!! Planner peace was surely in my immediate future, right? Wrong.
While the Frankenplanner looked good on paper, it didn’t function well in daily life. It was clunky, and I felt overwhelmed by all the different sections. Time and money wasted – okay, let’s say nothing is wasted if we learn from it, right?
By April 2022, I was frustrated with the failed attempt to create the perfect planner. I happened across Agendio and hope was alive again. I designed the planner of my dreams and started using it in June 2022. Still not completely satisfied with the options I chose, I went back to the drawing board in October to start designing my 2023 Agendio planner.
I chose a month on two pages at the beginning of each week. Weekly is on two pages with a shortened weekend space that allows more room for special sections. On my monthly view, I have a list of expenses that keeps me organized. Weekly sections include meal planning, goal setting, mood checks, and memory recording. I have space for seasonal planning, affirmations, and nourishing activities.
